Artur Aleksanyan began his dance career in the folk and character world at 3 years old. When he turned 12 he was cast in a local musical, “Nobody Runs Alone”, and fell in love with theatre. At 13 Artur put himself in a ballet class and decided he would pursue dance as a career. He booked his first professional tour at 15, with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Company with whom he performed his very first “Nutcracker”, and has been dancing professionally since.
He’s trained in different genres and styles of dance, including multinational folk and character, hip-hop, ballroom, jazz and ballet. Artur has shared the stage with companies from around the world and continues to travel and work locally with different companies in LA as a guest artist. Classical repertoire includes Carmen, Don Quixote, Nutcracker, Coppelia, Snow White and Aladdin, to name a few.
His shared experiences inspired him to collaborate with one of his best friends and mentors, and Co-founded ‘TransClassics Dance Company’- a traveling dance ensemble of performers from all technical backgrounds.
