Heather Aued: Assistant Director & Rehearsal Director
In 2009 Heather helped Jillina launch Bellydance Evolution and is the Co-Director of the show.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Heather began dancing at the age of five. Studying modern jazz & ballroom, ballet, hip-hop & contemporary. By the age of 13 Heather was already an Award-Winning choreographer & lead dancer in 3 different dance companies. That same year she performed at the Rose Bowl along side Cirque Du Soleil & Smokey Robinson for over 40,000 people.
At 18 Heather was cast by Kenny Ortega to dance on the Fox TV show “Grounded for Life” which earned an Emmy nomination for Best Choreography. That same month she joined “Jillina’s Sahlala Dancers”. Having fallen in love with Middle Eastern dance, she quickly became a lead soloist. Heather can be seen on numerous bellydance performance DVD’s as well as Jillina’s “Shape Up & Hip Out” DVD.
Lauren Boldt: Assistant Director & Booking Director
Lauren Boldt holds a Bachelors degree in Percussion from Boston’s world-renowned Berklee College of Music. This, combined with her extensive dance training, makes her a very busy performer and teacher. Lauren has traveled to over a dozen countries on 5 continents to perform and teach.
In 2006 Lauren moved to Los Angeles to perform with Jillina’s Sahlala Dancers. From 2008-2012 she toured with the Bellydance Superstars and has appeared in many of their videos including: “Babelesque: BDSS Live in Tokyo” and “Bombay Bellywood: BDSS live from Los Angeles”. In 2013 Lauren joined the faculty at California State University of Los Angeles to teach Bellydance for Fitness for the School of Kinesiology. Lauren is currently pursing a Masters in Arts Administration degree from the University of Kentucky.
In addition to these accomplishments Lauren is a published writer, with articles in Gilded Serpent, both online and in print.
